T-Phlo Mufflers is located in Calimesa, Ca. My interest in vehicle modification started at an early age like many others. But I went a step further. I always wondered how each component worked in a vehicle by dissecting them and seeing how it all worked. As I grew older, about the age of sixteen, I was not pleased with the exhaust note that my 1980 Chevy Pick-Up put out. I rebuilt the motor in my high school auto shop class and did many modifications except for the mufflers. I felt challenged to create a better product than what I purchased from the exhaust shop.

My first experiment included a large coffee can, drill, epoxy, and extra coffee can lids (for baffles). My idea worked for a short time, enough for me to get an idea of what I needed to do next.

The next step included the purchase of many different size pieces of 16 gauge steel. I followed my hand drawn blue prints with a random pattern and welded each and every piece together. The result was a very primitive, ugly prototype of our refined design you see today. The internal design has been completely reworked and includes the new TRINITY BAFFLE which has a special function that sets us apart. I am thankful that my dad had a wire feed welder available in the garage for my everyday use.

Today, our design resembles my original muffler design. I kept a square shell for a few reasons. First and most obvious, I wanted it to resemble my first attempt at making a muffler. Second, the shape of the shell, with the thickness of the steel creates a very strong structure, useable in many applications like rock crawling. Third, I wanted a design that would be compact to fit in many applications and tight spaces. For so many years, mufflers have always looked alike with rounded sides. In dyno testing we've found that the radius sides of a muffler do not improve performance, so we wanted to break from the norm.

In today's world, I have found that integrity is hard to come by. Our mission is to always provide a high quality product, take care of our customers, and make T-Phlo a name that you can trust. Our desire is to be God's guiding light in the automotive industry.
